Internal Communications
Internal communications is one of the most important factors in designing change processes (change management) as well as for corporate success in general. The driving forces behind this can be highly varied. Adapting to current or future market developments, company acquisitions and sales, successor arrangements, merges or joint ventures: The challenge to internal communications is always especially great when company cultures (corporate culture, corporate identity) have to be integrated or changed. The classic approach of communications where the management talks to the employees instead of with them is unsuitable to create the necessary willingness to change.
Only dialogue with the employees which is meant seriously produces the desired success. One condition for this is being sensitive in recognising the moods and needs of the employees at different levels. Only then can internal communications be deployed successfully. Its aim is to promote the identification and commitment of the employees, reduce staff turnover and make the company interesting for qualified junior staff and top managers ready for a move.
The consultants at KOOB help their clients to control this important management process. Their understanding of this role can be best described with the terms moderator, coach, and stimulator.
